Dora Ohrenstein has travelled to exotic parts of the globe — including Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Albania — driven by her passion for learning about textiles and what they mean in various cultures. Join her for a presentation that includes stunning visual displays of what she found and stories of the makers she met and the cultural and historical settings that influence the textiles and techniques they use.

Dora Ohrenstein is a leading crochet designer, teacher and author of six full-length books, including Top Down Crochet Sweaters and The Crocheter’s Skill-Building Workshop. Dora’s chic and innovative designs appear regularly in print and online magazines. She is an avid student of crochet history and has published numerous articles on the topic.
